Nothing says the weekend like distressed denim, am I right? I love the distressing, wash and length of these shorts, and they go with everything! The orange pintuck swing top I’m wearing really attracted me when I saw it online. I don’t wear a whole lot of color, but there is something about orange/red-orange that I just really like in the summer time. I also picked up this top in black, because I thought the pleated detail and slight cropped cut was so cute! (Side note: don’t put these blouses in the dryer! I definitely shrunk my black one… oops! 🙁 )
This past weekend I celebrated my girlfriend’s bachelorette, and it was so much fun! So much fun that I was hurting a bit on Sunday… I miss the days when I wouldn’t wake up with a hangover after a night of a little indulging!
Thanks for reading, and I hope you have a lovely Tuesday!
Happy Friday & #NSale Public Access Day!! 🙂 The best sale of the year is now open to EVERYONE, and many popular items have been restocked from Early Access and some even marked down further! I rounded up the best picks by category to make your shopping quick & easy. I know I will be headed to Nordstrom in store today and adding a couple more things to my cart. 😉
Now onto the good stuff…
Best of Boots
Best of Jeans
Best of Tops
Best of Sweaters
Best of Outerwear
Best of Jewelry & Accessories
Best of Handbags
Best of Beauty Exclusives
Best of Fitness Apparel
Don’t forget, Nordstrom always has free shipping & returns on every purchase! The sale will go on until August 8th, but things are going quickly, so act fast if you love it! Happy shopping. 🙂
This weekend I have one of my best friend’s bachelorette party that I am so excited for! We are renting a boat and cruising the lake during the day and then hitting the town in the evening. Super excited! Hoping the temperature cools down a little and the rain stays away… has it been crazy hot where you live?!
Happy Friday-eve! Today is the LAST day for early access shoppers with a Nordstrom card to snag their #NSale goodies before it opens up to the public tomorrow! If you don’t have a card, you can start preparing your shopping list and grab them before they sell out. Many items have already sold out for Early Access, but they will be restocking lots of items tomorrow! Be warned, though: they are highly likely to sell out again, and fast since so many more people will be shopping the sale. So shop your most-wanted items early to ensure you get them. 🙂
Pssst… the $500 Nordstrom Giveaway also ends tonight at midnight! Enter HERE.
Alright, I know… I have a serious romper obsession! *insert monkey covering eyes emoji* But this one was the perfect one to wear to one of my best girlfriend’s bachelorette party. It’s playful, has a pretty open-back tie detail, a slight ruffle hem on the shorts and it’s lined! It’s going to be comfortable to wear all night long on the dance floor. 😉 And when it’s 40% off, there’s no question! You don’t have to be a Nordstrom cardholder to purchase it, either, since it isn’t apart of the Anniversary sale. It also comes in a cool teal & pretty coral color!
Speaking of the #NSale, what are your favorite items so far?! The sale opens up to the public this Friday, July 22nd, so I am definitely going to round up some more favorites in specific categories. What do you guys want to see? Best under $100? $50? Best of Beauty? Best of Closet Staples? Best of Fitness Apparel? Let me know! 🙂
It’s no secret that I love the lace-up trend, so I was pretty excited to see this long sleeve lace-up top in the sale! It’s made out of the softest material and isn’t too low-cut. I also love the bell sleeves! The 70’s are definitely making a comeback. 😉
These Lush blouses are super popular, and this year they came out with a slightly different style and different colors. This dusty blush color is right up my alley! The material is a bit thin, so if you get a lighter color, you may want to layer it with a camisole underneath.
Sizing: True to size – Wearing a small.
They aren’t pictured, but I also bought these earrings (OBSESSED! So pretty and classic, and look more expensive than they were!), and ordered this top and this bra (check out the reviews!! Order one cup size up) online; I’ll be here stalking the UPS man until they arrive. 😉
SHOP THE POST:
Hi guys! I got the chance to shop the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale in-store when it started last Thursday, so I tried on these pieces that caught my eye! Not surprisingly, the sale was already a bit picked over when I arrived. Luckily, they still had these favorites in store. Another thing I love about Nordstrom is that they are great about restocking and having a lot of inventory. If any of these pieces are out of stock when you are ready to pull the trigger, don’t fret! Check back often, and you’ll likely see it come back in stock. 🙂
I also checked out the jewelry and shoe departments, but they were pretty crowded, so I unfortunately couldn’t snap any photos! I’ll definitely share them with you later. PS- If you aren’t a Nordstrom card holder, you can shop the sale this Friday!!
Tom and I were fortunate to spend lots of time with both of our families this weekend! Friday night, we celebrated his dad’s retirement, Saturday we went out with my mom and step dad, and today we had my extended family’s 9th annual golf tournament! We’ve been setting up this tournament every year in honor of my sweet grandpa who passed away and loved the game of golf. It’s always so much fun!
It’s here, it’s here! My absolute favorite sale of the year: The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale! I woke up at 4am just to browse and select my favorites for you guys… and it totally helped that Tom woke up at the same time to watch the golf Open Championship! Haha. 🙂 This sale is that big of a deal though, and I wanted to let you guys know about the best items before they sell out!
If you are a Nordstrom card holder like myself, you are officially in the Early Access club and can start shopping the new fall merchandise at discounted prices, making them way more affordable! (Including, but not limited to, brands like Tory Burch, Rebecca Minkoff, Paige Denim, BP., Frye, Kate Spade, Vince Camuto, and Kendra Scott). These aren’t last years styles, either; these are brand spanking new! Now’s the time to purchase those discounted investment pieces. You won’t find these pieces on sale later when the temps cool down! No worries if you aren’t a cardholder, by the way–you’ll get to shop the sale next week on July 22nd until August 8th! Just bookmark your favorites and shop them later. 🙂
I’ll be doing a few different shop posts regarding the sale, but I rounded up my favorite picks for Early Access today.
This sale is Nordstrom’s biggest sale of the year where they bring in the most revenue (even more than the Christmas sales!!) You may want to consider doing a little shopping for others, whether it’s for a birthday or Christmas gift. Christmas isn’t that far away, people… 😉
As seasons change, so does my makeup routine. I love trying out new products, but I definitely go through a lot of trial and error before I am sold and stick to a product! These 5 makeup products are recent purchases that have made their way into my summer makeup routine. Here’s why: Makeup Forever Ultra HD Invisible Cover Foundation: Now I need to start off by saying Estee Lauder Double Wear will forever be my holy grail foundation, but it is a bit heavy for everyday use in the summer time. So on days that I don’t need long-lasting full coverage, I use this foundation. It’s super lightweight, buildable and has a beautiful finish. Great for masking minor imperfections!
Too Faced Chocolate Bar Palette: My mom gave me this palette after she raved about hers, and it has so many warm and neutral shades that not only look pretty, but have great pigmentation and blend beautifully! My favorite shades are Marzipan (2nd color in the middle row), Salted Caramel (1st color in the middle row) and Milk Chocolate (3rd from the top). I can’t wait to use the dark-purpley shades this fall!
NARS ‘Laguna’ Bronzer: Guys. If you purchase anything from this post, let it be this. It has completely taken my Benefit Hoola Bronzer‘s place, which I repurchased for about 3 years. While the Hoola Bronzer is still great, this one is just so much greater. It instantly warms up your face and gives a very natural glow. Great for most skin tones! Check out it’s raving reviews if you still aren’t sold. 🙂
IT Cosmetics Bye-Bye Under Eye Concealer: I received this as a sample, and it uses anti-aging technology to help treat the appearance of lines, wrinkles and discoloration, conceal dark circles, blemishes and redness. It’s also waterproof and super long-lasting. A little bit goes a long way, so you definitely get your money’s worth purchasing the full size.
Have you guys tried any of these products yet? What are your summer makeup must-haves? Let me know in the comments! 🙂 Have a happy hump day!
I have always dreamed about wearing a pair of Isabel Marant Jaeryn sandals, (see Sincerely Jules styling them here), but let’s be real; they just aren’t in my budget! So when I saw a pair of look-a-likes for under $35, I ran for my credit card and put in the order. No regrets here! 🙂 These bad boys totally make an outfit, and adds edge to even the girliest outfit. I can’t wait to style them all summer!
I wore this blue printed tank over 4th of July weekend and am so happy I bought it! The print is cute and I love the flowy, layered look of it. It was actually one of those purchases where I went back to the store after thinking I didn’t need it the first time… Ha! Who was I kidding when I thought I didn’t need it? 😉
Tom and I had a super relaxed weekend, which was fine by me! We actually had a small group friends over Friday night and then had some drinks at a local bar’s patio (that we are obsessed with!) afterwards. The weather was absolutely gorgeous! Today we finally hung up a few decor pieces on our walls, which I was especially excited for. T, not so much… lol! Hope you guys enjoyed your weekend, too!
Maxi Dress: I own this dress in black and marsala and I can’t stress enough how much you need one in your wardrobe! They are the perfect summer staple and can be paired with a denim jacket, cardigan or vest on cooler days or to transition into fall. I love this new cute palm print!
Nikes: I have these exact sneakers for running and they are amazing! So comfortable, lightweight and cute. They just went on sale for under $100, so grab them before they sell out!
Satchel: Swooning over this handbag. It looks high-end, and you won’t believe the price!
Perfume: So the scent name of this perfume sounds a bit odd, but it smells HEAVENLY! I just tested it out at Nordstrom the other day. It’s perfect for everyday wear and isn’t overwhelming. It’s on my wish list and I will absolutely be purchasing it in the near future!
Bracelet Stack: I all over the tassel trend, and love the look of them on an arm party. These bracelets come in a set together and can be worn separately, too!
If you’ve been following my blog for a while, you’ll already know how much I love shopping at Nordstrom and recommending pieces (like those above) from there. It’s my absolute favorite retailer for so many reasons. Ahem, FREE shipping and returns all day everyday, a fantastic inventory and outstanding customer service, to name a few. They have everything! Anyway, their biggest and most hyped about sale of the whole year is live on Thursday, July 14th (Early Access) for Nordstrom credit or debit cardholders (sign up for one here. I have had a debit one for a few years and love the perks and ease of it. It’s connected to my bank account, so I don’t have to worry about missing a payment), and then July 22nd for the public. It’s a pretty huge deal, because Nordstrom releases brand new fall items at super discounted prices that you won’t find anywhere else (including big designers like Tory Burch and Rebecca Minkoff, a couple of my faves!).
It might seem early to be shopping for fall items, but these pieces will go to full-price on August 8th, and you won’t find these discounts anywhere during the fall/winter. So buy now, and look forward to wearing later when the weather cools down! And don’t hesitate if you are worried about sizing. Like I mentioned above, Nordy’s has no hassle, free shipping and returns. Grab two sizes and return the other, just in case the item is a hot commodity and sells out quick. I can’t wait to share my favorite pieces and what I’ve purchased with you guys when the sale begins!
*PS – I am not sponsored by Nordstrom or getting paid to tell you about this sale! I just love Nordstrom that much, and I feel I would be doing you a disservice if I didn’t dish the details. 🙂
Although it was a short week, it didn’t really feel like it. I think it just took me a bit to bounce back from the long weekend… anyone else?! Safe to say I’m happy the weekend is here. 🙂 Hope everyone has a great one!
It’s no secret that I am a romper addict. But when you see one in your favorite color with the prettiest lace details for only $25, how could you ever say no? Target has been killing it with their summer collection, and this romper is no exception! It can be dressed down for a casual day at the lake (like I did this day!) or dressed up with some heels and a cute clutch for a special occasion.
Did everyone have an amazing 4th?! Tom and I had so much fun celebrating and spending time with both of our families and friends at the lake. Nothing really beats it. 🙂
