Cute & Practical Snowboarding/Skiing Gear

Tom and I hit the slopes earlier this month and it was so much fun! I used to snowboard back in the day (we’re talking like 7th-9th grade) and it was easily one of my favorite hobbies! I even had a season pass! Happy to say we had a successful trip and drove home without any bruises. ๐Ÿ™‚ It’s truly like riding a bike, and felt amazing to get out there and do it again!

When I went on my trip, I received several questions from you guys asking where all of my gear was from, so I promised a blog post on all the details – and well, here we are! After working with Backcountry previously in 2019 and becoming familiar with their brand and inventory, I knew it would be the perfect site to shop for my gear for the trip (I never saved any of my gear from years ago); they have so many great snowboarding and skiing brands, and a wide variety of styles!

I ended up ordering the Roxy Andie Hooded Insulated Jacket, which quickly became one of my favorite purchases for winter. It’s not only an awesome jacket to wear while snowboarding/skiing, but a great winter jacket for everyday winter wear. The laminate seals out moisture for snow or rain, and the insulation traps heat without the bulk, making this a super warm and practical jacket! There are also zippers for venting when you get warm, and organizational pockets both inside and outside the jacket, which I appreciate and love. I went true to size with this jacket (I have a small), and it fits perfectly. For my snow pants, I went with the Roxy Cabin Pant in a gorgeous grape wine color – I love the fit, since they are more fitted and flattering. Also kept me warm, dry and they were comfortable! True to size, but if you are taller than 5’7″, I’d size up since they aren’t super long – however, for snowboarding and skiing, it doesn’t matter much! I accessorized with the Backcountry Birch Pom Beanie and DAKINE Fleetwood Mitten – both warm & so cute! For goggles, this is a similar pair, and while I rented snowboarding boots, this pair of Vans has nice reviews if you are looking to purchase!

I hope that helps, I couldn’t recommend this gear enough for any winter activity outdoors! You can use code STYLEDPRESS15 for 15% off your first order (some exclusions apply)!

A big thanks to Backcountry for partnering on this post! As always, all opinions are my own.
