Neutral Boy Nursery Reveal

Happy Sunday, everyone! I am over the moon with excitement for today’s blog post: my neutral boy nursery reveal! I worked with buybuy BABY to get all of Baby Brown’s nursery essentials, and Tom and I have been super impressed with their furniture and product selection, their employee’s knowledge on products, and the quality of what we have purchased and their budget-friendly price points. Buybuy BABY is truly a one-stop-shop that I highly recommend for all families that are expecting and/or have babies and toddlers. You can find everything from nursery furniture, to bedding & decor, to gear & travel, to nursing and feeding essentials, and more! While putting together the nursery, we made a couple of in-store visits at their Woodbury location, and also shopped online on their website. Both equally efficient and convenient! They also have really great coupons and promotions daily, which we definitely took advantage of!

The first item we purchased for the nursery was our swivel glider/rocker/reclining chair, and it might be our very favorite and most essential purchase! We knew we would be spending quite a bit of time rocking, feeding, and snuggling our sweet boy in this chair, so going into the store to test out the models was something I am so glad that we did. I definitely recommend that you do the same if you are shopping for one! There were a few I had my eye on online that didn’t end up working out for us after we sat in them (Tom and I are decently tall, so we need proper neck support), and it made narrowing down the winner that much easier since we could compare comfort and features in person. The buybuy BABY associate was also super helpful, since she had a lot of information on each piece and made sure that the one we selected was the right fit for us. The Finley Glider was our perfect fit, and we have already sat in it quite a bit since we set it up in the nursery. 🙂 It’s super comfortable! Well worth the price tag (we also were able to use a buybuy BABY 20% off coupon on this purchase!). I also really liked that we could select a custom fabric and color with the fabric books they had in store, and they had about every color and fabric texture imaginable! We chose the Linen color made with a soft, easy-to-clean fabric (#24687C). Since this was a custom order, we had to wait about a month for it to be made and delivered, so put your glider/rocker at the very top of your nursery shopping list to ensure you receive it in time!

Second most important piece on our list was the baby’s crib, and I fell in love with this two-toned Babyletto Lolly 3-in-1 Convertible Crib in white/natural when I saw it online! I did a couple of Google image searches on it, and loved how nice it looked in other nurseries. Plus, the fact that it can be converted into a crib, to a toddler bed, to a day bed made the decision to purchase it that much easier. Baby furniture isn’t cheap, so when I can get multiple uses out if it, I’m one happy lady. 🙂 It’s also made of non-toxic material and meets ASTM International and US CPSC safety standards — sold! Tom said the instructions and assembly were easy to follow as well. It took him no longer than 30 minutes to get it all set up! We also ordered the Graco Premium Foam Crib and Toddler Bed Mattress online at buybuy BABY, and it fits in the crib perfectly! A great price point for a crib mattress, and accommodates our growing baby though their infant and toddler stages. A lot of my mama followers recommended getting a leak-protectant sheet for the mattress in case of accidents, so we ordered this Summer Infant Ultimate Crib Sheet that wicks moisture away from baby, has a super absorbent inner layer, and the bottom layer protects from leaks! A fitted crib sheet isn’t even necessary with this sheet, but I added a muslin one over it for extra comfort and aesthetics. 😉

Since I was such a fan of the Babyletto Lolly’s two-toned contemporary design of the crib, I wanted to get one of the dressers/changing tables to match. The 3-Drawer Changer Dresser was exactly what we were looking for! Our nursery is quite small, so we needed something a little more compact. It works double duty as a changing surface and dresser for storing baby’s essentials, and the drawers are super spacious. It also came with an anti-tip/anchor kit, which is 100% necessary for a nursery. Rather than purchasing a changing pad, I had heard great things about the Hatch Baby Grow Scale. It’s easy to clean after diaper changes, and also works as a wireless smart scale that records weight, feeding times and amounts, diaper changes, sleep and more. Plus, it can share data with doctors and caregivers! Such cool and useful features that will put this mama at ease and make life a little easier! It fits perfectly in the changing tray that came with the dresser. I keep all diapering products in the first drawer so that they are easily accessible.
