When Tom and I built our home, we decided to go standard with our master closet and to do something a little more custom at a later date. We had the generic, basic closet rod and shelf above the rod, so we weren’t maximizing the space well at all! Once we felt comfortable to start exploring our options, I had quickly made up my mind to do an Elfa Custom Closet from The Container Store since we had a great experience a couple of years back with Keldon’s custom nursery closet (see the blog post HERE)! The quality, customer service, and customization options made it a no-brainer, and I had recently taken a peek at what they had to offer for master closets in-store and online and was loving what I saw.

We went with the Elfa Décor style for our closet, but the best part about The Container Store’s Elfa Custom Closets are that they have a solution for anyone no matter the size, style, or budget of your space. Designing it is fun, too! They make it really simple: you can use their online design tool, utilize their Virtual In-Home Closet Design service, meet with a designer in-store, or meet with a designer in your home. We worked with the team online, finalized the design and then set up a date for install (you can choose to either hire them to install it or install yourself). The install only took a few hours, had everything he needed, and we were really happy with their work! The installer also followed COVID-precautions, so we felt safe with them in our home.
