How cold is it where you live right now? We’ve had such beautiful fall weather, but it has came and gone already (it never lasts long enough here)! Winter temperatures are here to stay Minneapolis, so we’ve been bundling up with some pre-winter favorites from Backcountry!
I wanted to get some outerwear to match with Keldon (because why not?!) and found this great Patagonia Retro Pile Fleece Hooded Jacket that comes in 4 different color options (this is ‘Pelican’) that is so cozy and warm, and the perfect jacket to wear when you don’t feel like wearing a larger puffer or parka. I sized up to a medium in this jacket so that I could layer with sweaters underneath, but if you plan to just wear light layers, stick with your true size. For Keldon, I found this cute Patagonia Reversible Winter Jacket that has a faux shearling fleece side (pictured) and a windproof, waterproof shell side that he’ll be able to wear all winter long! He is wearing the 12 month size, with room to grow.
I’m wearing one of my new favorite basics underneath my fleece, this Free People Thermal Top in the color neutral! I wore this earlier this week during my mall trip and had many questions about it. It’s comfy and such a fall and winter staple since it makes for a great layering piece, and it’s cute! I sized down to an XS, and recommend you size down as well since it does run a bit large. Comes in more color options, too!
My beanie is one of my favorite pre-winter finds! It’s so beautifully made, and I love the cable knit detail and oversized pom. Warm, cute and practical! This beanie also comes in more color ways, but I knew black would be one that would go with all of my winter gear.
It’s no surprise that I’m rocking my Sorel Lexie boots, since you know how much I love their boots in the fall and winter! This pair is my most recent purchase, and definitely one of the cutest. I love the light blush colored laces and quilted details, and like my other Sorel Joan of Arctic wedge booties, these are comfortable, waterproof, stylish and run true to size (this particular style also comes in more color options; check out the festive red & black buffalo check option for the holidays)!
