Transitioning into Fall with LOFT

We’re in the final stretch of summer and fall is just around the corner, which means cooler temps and transitioning our outfits from summer to fall! LOFT always comes out with amazing mixed media sweaters, and this striped crossover one is no exception! I love the layered look, and it adds so much detail to your outfit. They are also very flattering, flowy and comfortable, making them a great option for both work and play. Short-sleeved sweaters are a must-have for me during this time of year, when the weather is still a little warm. A couple of darling mixed media sleeveless sweater options are this floral one and this ruffle back one.

I’ve had a great experience with LOFT’s modern skinny jeans, and I couldn’t resist the edgy but subtle destructed details on this pair. The indigo wash is gorgeous, and make them look even more expensive than they are (especially at 40% off)! If you prefer jeans to be mid or high rise, you’ll be a fan of these since they are mid-rise. They are also very stretchy and comfortable! This high-rise pair is another great option with similar distressing. Pro tip: Anytime I purchase jeans, pants or shorts from LOFT, I go down one size from my “true size”, because I have found that they tend to run a little large. So if you are normally a size 4 in jeans like myself, grab a size 2 for the perfect fit.

Anyone else agree that layering between the summer and fall transition can be so tricky? The mornings are crisp, but by the end of the day it can be 80 degrees! I love to wear lightweight jackets like this adorable hooded poncho jacket that adds a nice layer without being too heavy. The large buttons are super cute, and it would work well for a rainy day as well! Once the temperatures drop, keep it in your closet until the winter to spring transition begins when you’ll be able to utilize it again. 🙂
